Free Well and Septic Information Session Sept.
19, 2009 at the Tamworth Arena starting at 9am. Under the Well Aware program,
Hearthmakers Energy Cooperative is partnering with the Beaver Lake Preservation
Association to bring you a free information session on wells and septic
systems. If you own a rural property, this is information you need to know.
Local experts will cover topics like well construction and maintenance,
groundwater, water testing, and septic systems. Speakers include Mark Boone,
P. Geo, Hydrogeologist, Quinte Conservation Authority, William Vander Wilp,
MSc, MacLellan Water Technology, licensed assistant well technician and
level one water operator and Corey Shea, Part Owner/Operations Manager,
Shea Construction, and member of the Ontario Onsite Wastewater Association.
Well Aware encourages Ontario's residential well owners to protect their
wells and our common groundwater supplies. Safe, clean well water
is in everyone’s best interest. The Well Aware program is a commitment
to providing local rural residents with the knowledge they need to help
them manage their wells properly and understand their responsibilities
