Fort Henry National Historic Site of Canada heats
up Wednesday evenings throughout July and August with historic perormances
unique in all the world! The Fort Henry Guard Drums, Drill Squad and Artillery
Detachment relate an impressively interpreted hour and a half story of
1860's military music, drill and artillery maneuvers. Performed entirely
by college and university students, this perormance invokes patriotism
and pride as they deimonstrate their passion and skill for the craft. The
Fort Henry Guard steward a world-famous tradition that began on July 20th
1955. A tradition known worldwide.Be sure to ask about pre-show options
with Jessup Foods, either a full sit down historic dinner, served by Soldier
Servants or a casual pre-performance barbeque, open air in the lower fort.

Looking for a fun, all-weather activity
for the whole family? The Museum of Health Care’s new indoor wheelchair-accessible
tour offers an intriguing account of the shocking, odd, and amazing history
of medicine and health care in Canada. From amputations and autopsies to
smallpox and syphilis, you’re sure to be astounded. Learn about a time
when a bottle of whisky was the only anesthetic available, and people with
tuberculosis were thought to be vampires. Don’t believe it? Come see it
for yourself. This exhibit tour provides a unique in depth look at disease
and pathology, medical treatment and discovery, and the role of volunteers:
three very different but monumentally significant aspects of health and
heath care. The activity begins at the Museum of Health Care in the Ann
Baillie Building at 32 George Street. Tickets are $5 per person (Children

The City's Music in the Gardens is a free
concert series; bring your lawn chair to the free concerts held 7pm every
Wednesday and Sunday (weather-permitting) July through August at Lions
Civic Gardens located next to the Cataraqui Town Centre. The Music in the
Gardens Series is possible thanks to the Musicians Performers Trust Fund
(MPTF) and the generosity of a variety of corporate sponsors.
Pandemics, politics, & prisoners-of-war
– Kingston’s history as you’ve never heard it before! Learn all about the
fascinating history of the Kingston General Hospital National Historic
Site through the lens of 19th-century medicine. From the site of the first
seat of The United Province of Canada, to a charity hospital with a staff
of two, to the Christmas fire of 1897 learn the fascinating story of the
tumultuous early years of the Kingston General Hospital. This unique tour
includes accounts of plagues, politicians, prisoners, doctors, new immigrants,
noblemen and nurses, and spans over 100 years! Tours depart from the Museum
of Health Care in the Ann Baillie Building at 32 George Street. Please

Family Fun All Summer At The Woodworking
Museum! Every day of the week all summer there is affordable and educational
activities for kids of all ages at the MacLachlan Woodworking Museum. Located
on the grounds of Grass Creek Park, visiting the museum, followed by a
picnic and a swim is a great way to spend a summer day. Programs for ages
2 to 6 and ages 8 to 12 are available from the Puppet Theatre, Toddler
Story Time, Around theWorld Art Projects, Little Tree Huggers Nature Program
and more. The MacLachlan Woodworking Museum is open every day all summer
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 2993 Highway 2 East, 1 km East

start with The Limestone Mile race at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Red and
White people parade and a civic ceremony. Live music all afternoon and
evening in Confederation Park and Fireworks at 10 p.m.

29th Annual Wolfe Island Classic 5K/10K Run/Walk.
Race time is 9:30 on Sunday, July 5th. It starts in the village of Marysville
and follows an out and back picturesque course along the north shore road,
facing Kingston. The race is quite unique in that the finish line is at
AcaciaGold Kennels and we get to check out the puppies if they have a litter
at that time - you get to take a dip in the river at the finish line. The
Wolfe Island Farmer's Market is also on that day, they can take a horse
and
wagon tour of the Wind Farm, check out village galleries and shops, or
visit the beach at Big Sandy Bay before taking the ferry ride home. They
can register at the Running Room on Princess St. in Kingston or on the
Island on Race Day.

22nd Annual Kingston Buskers Rendezvous, July
9th - 12th. Catch street performers with talents ranging from fire eating,
to sword swallowing, to comedy, perform for crowds of thousands. Festival
