Ban Righ Noon Hour Speaker Series presents "Living
on Earth as if we want to stay". Mike Nickerson. Founding Director of the
Sustainability Project/7th Generation Initiative. “Living on Earth as if
we want to stay" looks at the changing relationship between the human family
and the Earth. Throughout time, until the last few decades, it didn't
matter what we did. There weren't enough of us and our tools weren't powerful
enough to cause trouble on anything but a local scale. That has changed,
requiring a fundamental change in how we manage ourselves. Mike Nickerson
explains the necessary change and how it is not only possible, it is little
more difficult, proportional to size, than it is for an adolescent to accept
adult responsibility. Humans are an awesome species, fully capable
of a long and satisfying presence on this planet. The necessary change
begins by answering a Question of Direction. www.sustainwellbeing.net.
