Having been awarded the 2007 COCA COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR award Aaron Berg also received a small role in the upcoming blockbuster, The Incredible Hulk and a co-starring part in the next year’s festival film The Triumph of Dingus McGraw. Aaron recently completed a supporting role in Scott Frank’s directorial debut "THE LOCKOUT" for Disney Films and tours the UK and Canada as a stand-up comic. Aaron has been nominated for two Canadian Comedy Awards (2004-Best One Person Show, 2005- Best new Stand-up) and is the writer/performer of THE UNDERBELLY DIARIES, the sordid tales of his experiences in the sex-trade. The choice of an upper class Jewish kid to work as a stripper, hustler and part-time pimp instead of attending law school was a result of his individual insecurity which evolved into flamboyant narcissism and the striving for physical perfection. The critically acclaimed one-man show has toured CALIFORNIA and CANADA. He holds an honors degree in Philosophy (specializing in existentialism and theology) from the University of New Brunswick. Aaron currently resides in Toronto.
On a dare from his co-workers, Tony Krolo entered a local talent competition and became the first ever winner of Canada's Search For The Funniest New Comedian Contest. Krolo has been entertaining corporate audiences since 1985 when he appeared at a prestigious Bell Canada Awards Gala. Television and film has also been an important part of Tony's career. His funny turn as a clumsy cop in Tim Allen's "The Santa Clause" led to a recurring role as a police sketch artist in the "Ed McBain's 87th Precinct" movie series. Tony's theatrical background includes Second City and TheatreSports. These skills have been applied to guest starring roles in comedy sketches on CityTV/Comedy Central's "Yo! Canada" and ten episodes of CBC-TV/The Comedy Network's "COMICS!". He has also been seen on A&E's "Yuk Yuk's - The TV Show" and has been heard on several radio comedy specials for Telemedia and the CBC. Krolo's impact on a crowd is inspiring. His imagination for improvising is impressive to say the least and he has the ability to show an audience the value of having fun at work. His capacity to carry on a conversation with a group of individuals makes his routine seem very personable and he has a rare knack for extracting information from people and turning it into good clean fun. Tony is also active in Toronto's sketch comedy scene. He is the founder and driving force behind the acclaimed troupe Lame And Shooster, who were recently featured on CBC-TV's "SketchCom".

This is an "X-Rated Show" not recommended for those who are easily offended.

Aggressive, Melodic, Intense, Hard, Emotional, Heavy, Driving, In Your Face, Fancy. That's right, Dead and Divine is not afraid to call themselves fancy, or even call their new record "The Fanciful". Jumping away from cliché metal bands in their scene, Dead and Divine has created another lyrical masterpiece with ‘The Fanciful’. The Fanciful refers to the imaginary and the unreal, reflected in the album concept by the constant struggle between reality and illusion, heaven and hell, and passion and misfortune.

Kingston Punk Productions and Kingston Amplifier Worship presents Dead and Divine with guests These Silhouettes, Arise and Ruin, Emarosa, Everlea, Red Light Antics at Time To Laugh Comedy Club, 394 Princess Street.  Doors 7pm  All-ages/19+ show.  $10 cover.   advance tickets at Brian's Record Option, The Jungle, Rockit Boutique, Renaissance Music, and Sunrise Records in the Cataraqui Town Centre

Brown

SHOWS ARE NOT CENSORED  DISCRETION ADVISED

On the surface David Pryde is the shy, quiet, straight-arrow whose homework you wanted to copy as a kid. However, beneath it all lays the bizarre, brilliant, and wicked mind that's blindsided audiences as one of the freshest comedy acts in the country. With the easy, unassuming delivery of a Jimmy Stewart/Charles Grodin love-child, Pryde tackles topics from obscure trivia to mundane everyday experience, twisting the most familiar ideas in hilarious ways you've never imagined. Whether he's being surreal, sweet or shocking, laughter is the end result. Pryde first turned heads in 1999 when he came from out of nowhere to run away with the first prize in the Just for Laughs Comedy Night in Canada Competition. Soon after, he was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award as Funniest New Comedian in Canada. Since then he has performed in shows all over Canada, the U.S., and the U.K. He has written for Open Mike with Mike Bullard and This Hour has 22 Minutes; joined the award-winning On the Spot Improv Troupe and amassed a ton of TV and radio credits. These include performances at the Halifax Comedy Festival, Madly Off in All Directions, two galas from the Just for Laughs Festival, and his own special on CTV's Comedy Now. He's done a lot in a relatively short career and shows no signs of slowing down. If you like comedy that's smart and original, then treat yourself to the wonderful, warped wit of David Pryde. His mind is a terrible thing to waste.
Young, hot and cuddly, Jay Brown first did stand up at seven years of age in Jamaica. He was on vacation with his family and attended an open mic night at the hotel’s beach party. He was a big hit and was forever bitten by the comedy bug. A professional comic since 1988, he has toured all over Canada, the United States, and parts of Europe. A regular on the Yuk Yuk's International circuit, he has opened for Andy Kindler (Everybody Loves Raymond), Doug Stanhope (The Man Show), and dated Heather Locklear. That last one isn’t really a credit but it’s true and he tells everybody so you’ll eventually hear about it anyway. Hard edged yet affable, Brown relates hip anecdotes and clever observations with a no holds barred, take no prisoner attitude.

Jean Paul's comedy is culled from his cultural crazy quilt of a childhood - born in Trinidad, raised in Brooklyn and currently residing in Toronto. This in itself explains his kaleidoscope of accents. He's funked up, has a twinkle in his eyes, and is deadly articulate. Feeding off the vibe of a room makes his performances electrifying. Says Jean Paul, "I was always into comedy, even as a kid. I found it fascinating. Some of my friends were into model car kits. I was into Richard Pryor, George Carlin and Bill Cosby."
He was twice awarded Top Ten Comedy Moments Of The Year by Toronto entertainment magazine Now. Darren Frost has been awarded the prestigious Kari Award for Best Performance in a commercial in Canada. At the 2005 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Darren performed in the most shows of any performer: 22 shows that included The Nasty Show and the Gala. He also took his comedy shenanigans international with shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. He has numerous movie/television appearances to his credit. Appearing in the upcoming feature Hairspray with John Travolta and Michelle Pfiefer, as well as past appearances in the Ethan Hawke film Assault on Precinct 13, the Drew Barrymore/Jimmy Fallon film Fever Pitch, and a role in the Michael Douglas feature Don’t Say A Word. Television roles in Disney’s Santa Who?, and a role in Kojak, the TV series, starring Ving Rhames. Darren filmed his own half hour special for The Comedy Network and had the largest viewership in the show's history. He also has been featured in many memorable national commercials including the Cash For Life Fairy, and old favourites: Microsoft’s Hermes Messenger of the Gods, and the original Listerine’s Action Hero Bottle. Not of this earth or simply full of fudge: you decide. Direct from Brantford, Ontario, he’ll have you convicted and healed all at once. He is uniquely eccentric and one of the reigning kings of "way-out" comedy. A man whose sole purpose is to "slam a stapler against the forehead of popular culture." Darren thrives on hyper-driving criticisms, dark revelation and lunacy. His ability to command the undivided attention of an audience is remarkable.
