A
hardcore screw-up to the end, John Beuhler's stand up comedy can only be
described as a powerful white light so pure in energy and vision that it
rivals all mediums added together, multiplied by the bicep strength of
God himself, with some fluffy relationship stuff. His act is so funny it
would make Yakov Smirnov want to kill both of his parents. John's awesome
joke writing ability along with his ability to start fires with his mind
makes his show one not to be missed. Get to know the “Beuhler Experience”
personally. Your sister sure has. Oh my God, what a burn. He has opened
for Dennis Miller, Joan Rivers, Martin Short, Craig Ferguson and Brent
Butt. Corner Gas Comic Genius Comedy Competition $10 000 winner, Comedy
Network. Just For Laughs Gala Performer, CBC. Just for Laughs Homegrown
Contest Winner. Stand up specials on CBC, CTV and Comedy Network. Star
of his own 1 hour snow boarding mocumentary on Global TV, "CHILL"
Heralded as 'fantastically intelligent'
by the Globe and Mail, and nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award as Best
Female Stand-up in Canada, Heidi Foss has combined her background in theatre
with her unusually sardonic perception of everyday life to become a standout
presence on the North American comedy scene. Her dry, deadpan delivery
has earned her numerous appearances in the International Just For Laughs
Festival and on the CBC television show, as well as on CTV's Comedy Now!
In addition to screenwriting and story editing for shows on HBO, FOX, PBS
and YTV, Heidi won a Canadian Comedy Award for being part of the staff
writing team on CBC's hit series This Hour Has Twenty Two Minutes. Foss
has appeared on Comedy Now!, the Just for Laughs television show, Daily
Planet, Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, and The Mike Bullard Show. She
has provided her voice talents to the animated shows Arthur, Buster, and
Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

Warning:
shows will be rude 'n crude baby! Not recommended for those who are easily
offended. It's not (censored) parent humour. You've been warned!
Darren Frost has numerous movie/television
appearances to his credit. Appearing in the feature Hairspray with John
Travolta and Michelle Pfiefer, as well as past appearances in the Ethan
Hawke film Assault on Precinct 13, the Drew Barrymore/Jimmy Fallon film
Fever Pitch, and a role in the Michael Douglas feature Don’t Say A Word.
Television roles in Disney’s Santa Who?, and a role in Kojak, the TV series,
starring Ving Rhames. Darren filmed his own half hour special for the comedy
network and had the largest viewership in the show's history. Darren lends
his voices to a many cartoons including: Nickelodeon’s 6teen, Discovery
Kids Time Warp Trio, PBS’s Timothy Goes to School, George Shrinks, Showtime’s
Gahan Wilson’s The Kid, and Fox’s Medabots. He also has been featured in
many memorable national commercials including the Cash For Life Fairy,
and old favourites: Microsoft’s Hermes Messenger of the Gods, and Listerine’s
original Action Hero Bottle. He is uniquely eccentric and one of the reigning
kings of "way-out" comedy. A man whose sole purpose is to "slam a stapler
against the forehead of popular culture." Darren thrives on hyper-driving
criticisms, dark revelation and lunacy. His ability to command the undivided
attention of an audience is remarkable.
Bobby Mair was the Judge's Choice for Round
2 of BITE's comedy special Stand Up & BITE Me! Bobby Mair has been
nominated for the Kelevision Empty Award for Most Inappropriate Comment.
He's a very, very funny guy. When asked about his likes Bobby says "Comedy.
Girls. Pretending to hate shit more than I do. Figuring myself out. Getting
out of Toronto as often as possible." and on music "Music Lover of everything.
I hated a band that opened for Neil Hamburger. Besides that I don't really
much give a (censored).

Kingston
Punk Productions, Kingston Music Scene, Fun House Concerts and CFRC 101.9
presents Silverstein (Victory Records)(from Burlington, ON) with guests
Good and Broken (Toronto, ON / featured on disBand Feb 3)
With influences ranging
from The Get Up Kids to Grade, Mineral to Cave-In, and even Pedro the Lion
to Slayer, Silverstein is a true mix of everything at once. The powerful
melodic singing and gut wrenching screaming of vocalist Shane Told evokes
the pain, struggle and emotion of the lyrics, which represent true feelings
of heartbreak and frustration. Silverstein finds a way to keep the music
unique and interesting, but always catchy. Bringing a violin into the mix,
and adding 6/8 meter melodic parts to screaming breakdowns help to achieve
this. The sound is reinforced by the creativity of drummer Paul Koelher
and the energetic playing of bassist Bill Hamilton. The shimmering clean,
and singing distorted guitars of Boshart, and Josh Bradford complete the
lineup, and capture the listener with their harmony and power.
Time To Laugh Comedy
Club, 394 Princess Street.
All-ages/licensed
7-10pm show.
$20 advance tickets
at Brian's Record Option, The Jungle, Destinations, Sunrise Records (Catarqui
Town Centre location only) and online at www.ticketbreak.com.
