DSBI
Productions presents 2 of Kingston's finest hard rocking bands to share
the stage: Revmatic along with The Day Street Brothel.
The Day Street Brothel
is a guitar and vocal driven band. If the vocals were to change or the
guitars were to change at all I think the band would be hurting in a big
way. When you listen to the album you probably will not get over the vocals
or the guitars at all they are top notch and especially when the album
was self funded. The vocals have a variety of influences that all blend
together to give their songs one hell of a punch. A couple of the influences
include Godsmack, Metallica, and a little bit of eighties and nineties
metal.
- Matt Hartwick
Kingston rockers...
no, scratch that... metal band Revmatic have unleashed a heavier edged,
full-length 10-track album titled Cold Blooded Demon. This is a follow
up to Ghetto Blaster (2004) and their 2003 self-titled Revmatic EP. The
new album was completed in October 2007 just in time for a strong run in
the Bodog Music Battle which landed them a fan's choice wildcard spot.
You have to pick-up this disc and really experience all the songs. Revmatic
took their time ensuring the new album was a quality product they could
be proud of. Major kudos to the overall production values.
- Chris White

best actor for his work in It's All Gone Pete Tong. In addition to It's
All Gone Pete Tong, Wilmot has appeared on Corner Gas, British TV shows
such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and alongside American comedian Rich
Hall in BBC television series Rich Hall's Fishing Show and Rich Hall's
Cattle Drive. He was the host of the Paramount comedy series Comedy Blue.
He has also appeared on the Australian TV show Good News Week (Network
10) as a guest panelist and visits Australia annually to perform at the
Melbourne international Comedy Festival. He currently stars in the Canadian
TV series The Foundation.
Jo-Anna Downey is a much-loved trend setter
of the Toronto comedy scene. She is the host of the longest running weekly
comedy show in the city. Her popularity is evident during the 2000 NOW
Magazine Readers’ Poll. Jo-Anna Downey was voted Favourite Stand-Up Comic.
In 2002 she was the feature cover story in the March issue of NOW Magazine.
Internationally, Jo-Anna has toured across Canada, UK, and the US. She
is also one of the fortunate few Canadians to grace the stage at the coveted
Caroline’s in New York. Jo-Anna was featured in the CTV comedy special
Women of the Night and nominated for a 2002 Gemini. Jo-Anna is a regular
panelist on the weekly Chick Chat radio segment with John Oakley where
her irreverent style is captivating and enjoying. Affectionately referred
to as MAMA, Jo-Anna Downey is a natural performer. Her interactive style,
encouragement of audience participation, and her quick wit, will shock
and delight everyone in the room.

The
East Coast is famous for its seafood, fiddle music and a little lady who
humps things, named Nikki Payne. Growing up in a trailer park with a speech
impediment may sound tragic to many, but it is comedic gold to Nikki Payne.
Not letting anything stand in her way, she has been nominated for two Gemini
Awards, and has won countless Canadian Comedy Awards. She is most known
for her appearance on NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’ and Much Music’s ‘Video
on Trial’. Nikki has written for ‘This Hour Has 22 Minutes", ‘Comedy Inc’
and ‘Pop- Cultured’. Nikki’s CTV’s ‘Comedy Now’ Special is one of the highest
rated ever in the entire world’s history! Nikki also lent her unique voice
to Disney’s ‘The Wild’ as a monkey with braces. When she is not winning
awards she is developing a new CTV show in her secret underground laboratory.
It is no surprise to learn that Nikki has garnered a lot of attention south
of the border. The Hollywood Reporter publication raved about Nikki’s performance
at the ‘Just For Laughs’ Festival in Montreal. It seems the world cannot
get enough of this little firecracker.
Terry Clement presents an uncompromising,
multi-media comedy freak-out that pushes the boundaries of reality, taste
and modern humour. Terry’s show is a highly original, progressive comedy
experience that is more of a theatrical presentation than it is a stand-up
comedy routine. Clement has performed at the Cape Town Comedy Festival
in South Africa and the Reading Music Festival in England in addition to
spots on the Paramount TV show "The World Stands Up" in the UK. Terry
has been nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award as well as a COCA Comedy
Artist of the Year Award. He has toured across Canada and the U.K. performing
at comedy clubs, colleges and alternative comedy venues along the way.

Sam
Easton was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. His career started with
a bang by winning the Phil Hartman Award and being nominated for both Second
City’s Tim Sims Award and a Canadian Comedy Award for best new comic before
his 22nd birthday. He’s a regular on the Showtime series "The L Word" as
well as the WB series "The Mountain". His acting skills have been
showcased in many movies including Steven Spielberg’s "Taken", "The Butterfly
Effect", "Crossed", "The Underclassman", "Decoy’s Rebirth", and most recently
he starred as Frankie Cheeks in "Final Destination 3". His one hour comedy
Special airs on both CTV and the Comedy Network.
Rob Pue is a gregarious and dynamic comedian
with a knack for telling it like it is, Rob has become one of the brightest
voices to hit the Canadian comedy scene. With unmistakeable charm, wit
and trade mark act outs, Rob is a must see performance. Rob has also appeared
as a regular on the MTV series Punk'd, showcased at the Just for Laughs
comedy festival in Montreal, and recently had his one hour “Comedy Now”

2009
was a good year for Aaron Berg. With his appearance as JoJo Rhama in the
Boondock Saints II - All Saints Day, he followed up with a role in M NIGHT
SHYAMALAN’S new feature film DEVIL as well as guest appearances on CBC’s
The Border and ABC’s COPPER. Aaron was also featured on CBC’S The Debaters.
Now dividing his time between New York and Toronto, Aaron is developing
a brand new hour of Stand-Up and will be touring Canada and the U.S. in
2010 bringing a new scathing optimism to each and every venue he plays.
He is also in development of a new solo show, appropriately called Machiavellian
Messiah.
Part of it is acting, part of it is psycho-fantasy;
the hook is that nobody is sure where one leaves off and the other begins.
Fascinating characterizations and an unpredictable attitude is what you're
likely to behold when watching one of Mike Cliff's performances. He's cleverly
shocking and dangerously funny. Mike has traveled the world with his unique
style of comedy. He has been featured at the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy
Festival in Scotland, as well as Australia's Melbourne Comedy Fest. He
is also a regular across Canada at the numerous Fringe Festivals. A headliner
of the highest calibre, Mike's talents have been recognized at home and
abroad. He has been a regular star of Toronto's People's Comedy Festival.
His act was presented as part of a TV special on The Movie Network and
an audio recording, "The CHUM-FM Comedy Collection - Vol. 1". Mike also
played a prominent role in the TV production of "Yuk Yuk's - The TV Show",
presented in Canada on CBC-TV and in the US on A&E. Dark, dastardly,
and devilish are apt descriptions of Mike Cliff's comedy expressions. Devastatingly
funny is equally applicable.
