Torontonian
Lawrence Morgenstern has headlined at every major comedy club in North
America, including The Improv in New York, The Comedy Store in Los Angeles
and Yuk Yuk's across Canada. Lawrence has appeared at The Molson Canadian
Toronto Comedy Festival and Montreal's Just For Laughs International Comedy
Festival. As well, he has written for singer/impressionist Andre Philippe
Gagnon, David Schwimmer of NBC's Friends and comedian Richard Lewis. Additionally,
Lawrence has contributed material to Saturday Night Live and The Tonight
Show with Jay Leno. He has also acted as one of the head writers for the
Just For Laughs Comedy Festival Galas. Lawrence has also acted in several
television shows in Canada over the past decade. Lawrence was also the
head writer for The Comedy Network's flagship talk show, Open Mike with
Mike Bullard.
Very little is known about Duncan Links'
early history. Though he often claims that he was born on the 4th of July,
1900, his true birth date is January 22nd, 1986. Irregardless, no can one
doubt his passion for making strangers laugh in the dark. When he was 18,
Duncan moved to Montreal, Quebec and started doing stand-up shortly thereafter.
Since then he has performed on stages across Canada and in the United Kingdom.
He even performed at the Glastonbury Music Festival in England in 2008
which is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the
world. This summer he will be performing in Beijing, Hong Kong, London
and New York City, but you can see his smart comedy right here in Kingston,
Ontario.
Dylan Mandlsohn is an energetic comic who
loves to provoke forward thinking and challenge social norms. This Toronto
born comic has recently made history by becoming the only Canadian to be
a back-to-back finalist in both the San Francisco and Seattle Comedy Competitions.
In between these events, Dylan shot an hour long “Comedy Now!” special
for the Comedy Network and CTV. He has performed in several comedy festivals,
including the prestigious Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival,
and was commended for his sharp wit and physical comedy. He also performed
at the Boston Comedy Festival where he was cast to perform for the Comcast
Network. This young comedian is looking to speak his mind to audiences
all over the world. His energetic approach to comedy leaves audiences gasping
in amazement at his fantastic facial contortions and incredible intentions
for healing the human spirit. This is a comedian not to miss. |

Allyson
Smith |

Presents |

Donnie
Coy |
|
A
consistent fan favorite at home in Canada or wherever the punch line finds
her, Allyson Smith brings her signature blend of brash social commentary
and clever life insights to one of the most alluring shows around. No stranger
to stage, screen or studio, Allyson’s biting wit and cunning charisma have
been featured on Much Music’s ‘Video on Trial’, CTV ‘Comedy Now’, W Network,
Star TV,’ as well on CBC Radio’s ‘Madly Off In All Directions’ and ‘The
Debaters.’ She was a semi-finalist at the 2007 Seattle Comedy Contest,
earning an invitation to the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival,
and she has also played the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival.
Continually honing her craft on audiences from coast to coast, this ‘embarrassingly
varied’ comedian and consummate professional is sure to leave you in stitches
(the good kind).
Always a bit twisted and mysterious, Donnie
Coy has a hint of the Everyman in him and has excelled in comedy for over
a decade. Easily identified in Canada as the "mad hatter" of comedy, his
blue-collar approach to humor is a hit across Canada and the United States.
He's witty, a little dangerous and always first-class. His real-life observations
are contemporary and often wander to the edge of the abyss. There's something
wild smoldering under his rough and tumble exterior,; however, his approach
to comedy is challenging and his topical range provocative. Donnie Coy
- a true comic genius: smart, sarcastic, sweet, and sour. He's everything
you want in a comedian and more, much much more. |

The
East Coast is famous for its seafood, fiddle music and a little lady who
humps things, named Nikki Payne. Growing up in a trailer park with a speech
impediment may sound tragic to many, but it is comedic gold to Nikki Payne.
Not letting anything stand in her way, she has been nominated for two Gemini
Awards, and has won countless Canadian Comedy Awards. She is most known
for her appearance on NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’ and Much Music’s ‘Video
on Trial’. Nikki has written for ‘This Hour Has 22 Minutes", ‘Comedy Inc’
and ‘Pop- Cultured’. Nikki’s CTV’s ‘Comedy Now’ Special is one of the highest
rated ever in the entire world’s history! Nikki also lent her unique voice
to Disney’s ‘The Wild’ as a monkey with braces. When she is not winning
awards she is developing a new CTV show in her secret underground laboratory.
It is no surprise to learn that Nikki has garnered a lot of attention south
of the border. The Hollywood Reporter publication raved about Nikki’s performance
at the ‘Just For Laughs’ Festival in Montreal. It seems the world cannot
get enough of this little firecracker. Nikki also finds the time to sit
on the board of directors for a charity called "Making Faces", a group
that teaches improv and acting classes to promote self-esteem in children
who are afflicted with facial deformities. In conclusion, to quote Nikki’s
mom, "She’s just so darn cute", you won’t want to miss her!
Comedian Arthur Simeon, aka The Bishop,
is THAT African Guy on Stage and off it. Arthur was born and raised in
Kampala, Uganda and draws on most of his experiences to inspire his Stand-up
material. Tall Dark and really, really Weird, Arthur Simeon takes you to
the funny side of being an African in North America. Arthur is the consummate
performer and has been seen on stages across Canada. Having moved to Canada
as a teenager, Arthur fell in love with comedy and one day stepped up to
the challenge at Amateur Night at Toronto's Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club. He has
since performed on many different stages including the annual Accent on
Toronto series for CBC Radio and the Mother's Day International Comedy
Clash. In 2007, he became one of the youngest headliners of the All Black
Comedy Show in Toronto and was also a finalist for the Cream of Comedy
competition that celebrates Toronto's young comedians. He is the host of
the very successful Princes of Comedy series. Arthur’s young career is
quickly on the rise as he continues to earn laughter from his audiences
and respect from his peers. |
