Peter
Anthony |
 |
Presents |
|
Eddie
Della Siepe |
|
In
2001, Peter Anthony dropped out of his MBA studies to pursue a career in
comedy. It was the best business decision he ever made. In the short time
since his life changed course, Peter has developed into a successful club,
college, and corporate comedian, not to mention a talented comedy writer.
He has performed throughout Canada, the US, and in the UK, was named a
finalist in Yuk Yuk’s Search for Canada's Funniest New Comic, has performed
at the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Calgary Comedy Festival, the Seattle
International Comedy Competition, the Canadian Comedy Awards and Festival,
and placed 3rd in the 2005 $25,000 Great Canadian Laugh-off Competition.
His television credits include appearances on CBC and The Comedy Network
and he has also been selected to open on tour for Howie Mandel. As a writer,
Peter has contributed to the smash game show "You Bet Your Ass" on The
Comedy Network and has also penned countless hilarious promotions for several
Canadian networks including Showcase, the Food Network, and HGTV. Peter
currently lives in Toronto, but is admittedly and happily a "small town
boy" from Pictou, Nova Scotia.
With an itch to do stand up comedy at a
very young age, Eddie Della Siepe made his first stage appearance as a
teenager, and finally hit the stage for good in 2001. His observant modern
day city street-sense, along with his sharp wit and amazing improvisational
skills, have made Eddie one of the brightest young comedic talents on the
scene today. He has been featured on Much Music's ‘Video On Trial’ and
has showcased his talents at the Hollywood Improv and Comedy Store in Los
Angeles. Eddie is a college/university favourite and can often be seen
as a regular in Yuk Yuk's comedy clubs throughout Canada. Also a very talented
actor, Eddie was cast as one of the leads in the modern day war drama ‘American
Soldiers’ by long time Hollywood director Sidney Furie. In 2005,
Eddie was featured in two well received Independent films, ‘Smoked’ and
‘Master Plan’, both being official selections of the Queens Film Festival
in New York, the Los Angeles Film and Video Festival, and the New York
Film & Video Festival. An incredibly gifted actor and comic, Eddie
Della Siepe is one of Canada's young rising stars. |

Gord
Paynter |
 |
Presents |
|
Wafik
Nasralla |
|
Gord
Paynter is a stand-up comic and he is different. Losing his eyesight in
his early twenties as a result of diabetes, Gord thought his lifelong dream
of becoming a comedian was gone forever. In truth, blindness opened his
eyes to a whole new world of opportunity, humour and motivation. It all
began on amateur night at Yuk Yuk's Comedy Club. Gord's unique style of
comedy surprised the audience and triggered fits of laughter. Laughter
that sparked the rediscovery of his dream. Today, Gord tours throughout
North America performing as both a stand-up comic and a motivational speaker.
When not touring, Gord splits his time equally between his wife Catherine
and the golf course. (Maybe not equally...) In 1999 he made international
headlines when he struck a 184 yard hole-in-one at North-Ridge golf course
in his hometown of Brantford. And what did he shoot for that round? Six
thousand and four!
Considered by many to be the funniest one-eyed
Egyptian/Canadian comic, Wafik Nasralla has been making people laugh all
across Canada for over 10 years. His shy, vulnerable demeanor has given
him a like-ability that makes his comedy accessible to all. His appearances
include as headliner at the “We Ain’t Terrorists” shows in Toronto, Ajax,
and Montreal, two appearances at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal,
the Fruitopia Comedy Festival at Canada’s Wonderland, headlined the New
Voices of Comedy Show in Montreal, Ottawa finalist for Canada’s Funniest
New Comic; placed 3rd at National Finals in Toronto, appeared on Kenny
Robinson’s Nubian Disciples of Pryor Show in Toronto and hundreds of one-nighters
across Canada at clubs, universities and charitable functions. His radio
and television career includes appearances on Comedy Now as seen on CTV
and The Comedy Network, Comedy At Club 54 on The Comedy Network and CanWest
Global plus On the Arts for CBC Newsworld. |

The
East Coast is famous for its seafood, fiddle music and a little lady who
humps things, named Nikki Payne. Growing up in a trailer park with a speech
impediment may sound tragic to many, but it is comedic gold to Nikki Payne.
Not letting anything stand in her way, she has been nominated for two Gemini
Awards, and has won countless Canadian Comedy Awards. She is most known
for her appearance on NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’ and Much Music’s ‘Video
on Trial’. Nikki has written for ‘This Hour Has 22 Minutes", ‘Comedy Inc’
and ‘Pop- Cultured’. Nikki’s CTV’s ‘Comedy Now’ Special is one of the highest
rated ever in the entire world’s history! Nikki also lent her unique voice
to Disney’s ‘The Wild’ as a monkey with braces. When she is not winning
awards she is developing a new CTV show in her secret underground laboratory.
It is no surprise to learn that Nikki has garnered a lot of attention south
of the border. The Hollywood Reporter publication raved about Nikki’s performance
at the ‘Just For Laughs’ Festival in Montreal. It seems the world cannot
get enough of this little firecracker. Nikki also finds the time to sit
on the board of directors for a charity called "Making Faces", a group
that teaches improv and acting classes to promote self-esteem in children
who are afflicted with facial deformities. In conclusion, to quote Nikki’s
mom, "She’s just so darn cute", you won’t want to miss her!
